Casa de Santo António is in Britiande (a small town 5 km from Lamego in the district of Viseu), at the crossroads of the Cister Wine Route and the Port Wine Route. It enjoys a privileged situation and from here you can set out to discover the magnificent scenery of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro – the world’s first Demarcated Region, created by the Marquis of Pombal on 10 September 1756; and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 14 December 2001.
