Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Chaves and Lazarim (Portugal), and Verín (Galicia-Spain)

This is a different program of Carnival focused on wolves and traditions of northern Portugal and Galicia. We will follow the trails of the Iberian wolf (endangered species of the Iberian Peninsula) and learn about the field work that biologists are doing in the area. We will also learn about the natural and cultural heritage and visit some of the oldest Carnival festivities of the region.
